Highlights

  • The Highest Waterfalls in North Africa: Witness the stunning 110-meter (330-foot) high cascades as they plunge into the deep gorge below. The sheer power and volume of the water are breathtaking, especially in spring or autumn.
  • Encounter with Barbary Macaques: Get up close (but not too close!) to the wild Barbary Macaque monkeys that inhabit the valley. These playful primates are often seen along the walking paths and are a favorite attraction for children and photographers.
  • Scenic Boat Ride: Take a small wooden rowboat piloted by a local guide right to the base of the falls. Feel the refreshing mist on your face and enjoy a unique perspective of the canyon walls from below.
  • Lush Olive Valley Views: Walk through vast groves of ancient olive, fig, and almond trees. The path to the falls offers panoramic views of the green valley contrasting with the red earth of the cliffs.
  • Refreshing Swimming Spots: In the heat of summer, take a dip in the natural pools at the bottom of the falls. The water is cool and clear, offering a perfect break from the sun.
  • Traditional Riverside Dining: Enjoy a relaxed Moroccan lunch (Tagine or Couscous) on a terrace perched directly above the rushing water, accompanied by the soothing sound of the falls.
  • Local Artisans & Fossils: Browse stalls selling unique fossils, ammonites, and minerals found in the region, as well as handmade Berber crafts and spices.
