Can we swim in the ocean?

Yes, but the Atlantic is different from the Mediterranean. The waves are often strong. Oualidia is the safest place for swimming (lagoon). In Essaouira and Agadir, it is more for surfers or confident swimmers. Many people just wade in or walk on the beach.

Is this tour suitable for surfers?

Absolutely. Essaouira, Taghazout (near Agadir), and Agadir are world-class surf spots. We can customize the itinerary to include surf lessons or spend more time near the best breaks.

Is the weather cold on the coast?

It can be cool and windy, especially in Essaouira and Agadir in the evenings. We recommend bringing a light sweater or jacket, even in summer.

Day 01 :

Tangier – Asilah – Rabat

09:00 AM: Pick up from Tangier Airport or Port.
10:00 AM: Drive south to Asilah, a charming coastal town known for its white-washed walls and murals. Enjoy a walk on the ramparts and lunch by the sea.
03:00 PM: Continue to Rabat, the Imperial Capital.
04:30 PM: Visit the Kasbah of the Udayas, enjoy the gardens overlooking the ocean, and see the Hassan II Mosque and the Mausoleum.
Overnight: Hotel/Riad in Rabat.

Day 02 :

Rabat – Casablanca – El Jadida

09:00 AM: Short drive to Casablanca.
09:30 AM: Visit the magnificent Hassan II Mosque, the only mosque in Morocco open to non-Muslims. It sits right on the edge of the Atlantic Ocean.
01:00 PM: Lunch in Casablanca (Fresh fish).
03:00 PM: Drive south to El Jadida, a fortified city built by the Portuguese in the 16th century.
04:30 PM: Visit the famous Cistern (underground reservoir), a UNESCO World Heritage site often used in film sets.
Evening: Walk along the city walls and watch the sunset.
Overnight: Hotel in El Jadida.

Day 03 :

El Jadida – Oualidia (Paradise Lagoon)

10:00 AM: Drive along the coast to Oualidia, a hidden gem between the Atlantic and a lagoon.
12:00 PM: Lunch of fresh oysters and seafood platters (specialty of the town) by the water.
02:00 PM: Afternoon free to relax. You can take a boat trip on the calm lagoon, swim in the waterfalls of the lagoon, or kayak.

Day 04 :

Oualidia – Safi – Essaouira

09:30 AM: Continue south along the wild coast.
11:00 AM: Stop in Safi, famous for its pottery and ceramics. Visit the Portuguese fortress (Château de mer).
01:00 PM: Lunch in Safi overlooking the sea.
03:00 PM: Arrive in Essaouira (formerly Mogador).
04:00 PM: Check-in. Free time to explore the relaxed medina, the Scala (ramparts), and the artisan workshops (Thuya wood).

Day 05 :

Essaouira – Exploration

Free Day: Full day to enjoy this bohemian city.
Optional Activities:
- Visit the Sidi Mohamed Ben Abdellah Museum.
- Relax on the sandy beach (Note: strong waves, good for surfers but swimming requires caution).
- Take a quad bike ride on the dunes of Diabat.
- Goat Tree: Drive a few km out to see the goats climbing the Argan trees.

Day 06 :

Essaouira – Agadir

10:00 AM: Drive south to Agadir. The road goes through the Argan Forest.
11:30 AM: Stop at an Argan Oil cooperative to see how women make the oil.

04:00 PM: Visit the Kasbah of Agadir (Hilltop ruins offering panoramic views of the city and port) and the new Medina.

Day 07 :

Agadir – Souss Massa National Park – Legzira Beach

09:00 AM: Drive south towards Tiznit (famous for silver jewelry).

01:00 PM: Lunch in Mirleft or Sidi Ifni.
